Eagle, Idaho, in Ada county, is located 9 miles NW of Boise, Idaho and it has a population of about 33,960. Eagle is located in the Ada Conty, which was founded in 1864. Idaho Territorial Legislature created the county. It was named in honor of Ada Riggs, who was the first child to be born in this area, daughter of H. C. Riggs, who was a co-founder of Boise.

Tourists visiting the city of Eagle can be at the Eagle Island State Park and enjoy swimming. It is also ideal for picnics. The museums that can be visited include the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, Boise Art Museum, and the Idaho State Historical Museum. One can also visit the Great American Family Parks.
